Holmside Medical Group is proposing to extend its practice boundary to include nearby areas. We are currently seeking feedback from patients, local residents and stakeholders before any decision is made. If the proposal is approved, the following areas would be included within the new practice boundary: • Callerton • Black Callerton Maps of the current and proposed boundary are available at reception and below. The shaded area represents our current boundary, the orange lined area shows our projected extension. The proposed boundary extension is intended to ensure that patients living in newly developed housing areas have access to local GP services. Holmside Medical Group has a long-standing history of providing primary care to the surrounding community, and these new developments are a natural extension of the population we already serve. The proposed change simply incorporates these new residential areas, which currently fall just outside our existing practice boundary, allowing us to continue delivering accessible, high-quality care to our local community. We want to hear from you. Drop in for Dads

This week is the first Drop-in for Dads – a new drop-in health clinic for Dads and Male carers.

Why not pop along to Byker Sands Family Centre from 3 pm on Tuesdays? You can ask questions, get your baby weighed, and see what support is out there for the challenges that parenthood brings.

The weekly sessions are put on by Newcastle City Council’s Children and Families team. It’s a friendly space to ask questions, get advice, learn skills and build your confidence as a parent.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Get Answers: Have questions about your little one? Our friendly health professionals are here to help you with all your queries.
  • Baby Check-Up: Get your baby weighed and ensure they’re growing strong and healthy.
  • Build Confidence: Learn new parenting skills and boost your confidence in a supportive setting.
  • Connect: Join our new dad support network and meet other dads on the same journey as you.
  • Discover Local Resources: Find out what’s happening for you and your family in your community.
  • Wellbeing Support: Get support for physical, mental, and sexual health – because your wellbeing matters too!
