What should I do if I can’t wear a face covering?

All practice visitors are asked to wear a face covering, as per government guidance for NHS premises.

If you are unable to wear a face covering and have a query, we ask patients or visitors to contact us via phone or email.

When arranging a face-to-face appointment, at the time of booking, you should let us know that you are unable to wear a face covering so we can arrange a clinician who will see you at a specific time.

Arriving for your appointment? When you arrive for your appointment any patients who cannot wear a face covering will be asked not to arrive until their appointment time. They are then taken in by the clinician, straight to the treatment room.

We have extremely vulnerable patients who attend the surgery and staff members who are at increased risk if they contract Covid. Our aim is to reduce risk for everyone while continuing to provide medical care, following these steps will help us to do so.

Thank you, Holmside Medical Group
