NHS Digital

In line with NHS Digital transformation, we will be contacting our patients via text message instead of letters when you are due for a routine health check appointment. Currently for our patients who require annual or 6 monthly monitoring for certain health conditions we send a letter, within their birthday month, inviting them to attend the surgery to see the appropriate Healthcare Assistant or Practice Nurse. By sending our patients text messages, instead of letters, we will be including links to digital platforms. Here our patients can get their NHS COVID Pass, order repeat prescriptions and book and manage appointments, along with many other things.

As NHS digital is paving a new way for ourselves it is only reflective that we help our patients access the services, as easily and with the flexibility that these services can provide.

We will be opening our appointment booking system, allowing our patients to book appointments through their online services and/or app. Starting with our practice nurses for Cervical Screening, and for patients who have received a text message advising they need to book a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) appointment.

Currently they will be the only appointment’s that we will offer to book online, but we are working towards opening more online bookable appointments with other clinicians in our surgery. We will keep our patients updated as and when we can offer this.

So, we ask please only book appointments online if you receive a text message from us inviting you to do so. You can log in or sign up to online services below
